Grassroots Level Human Rights Education

In Morocco, Algeria, and Tunisia, we have designed and implemented popular human rights education programs for groups of women at the grassroots level. Through the development of country specific facilitators’ manuals, posters, and theatre pieces, as well as a training workshop series for program facilitators from local NGOs, this comprehensive program aims share information about laws and legal rights for women who don’t necessarily have literacy skills, and develop their individual capacities to defend their human rights and collective skills to mobilize for change.
